Time to Monitor Flood Risk, Farm Equipment Theft, Crane Cam & Nebraska Revenue falls

An extensive area of deep snow pack and high water content (in excess of 3 inches) over Iowa, southern Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin, eastern Nebraska, and the eastern Dakotas make for good chances of spring floods in those areas, according to Al Dutcher, University of Nebraska Extension State Climatologist.

The Nebraska boys state basketball tournament begins Thursday in Lincoln.  KTCH and KCTY will be following three area teams—Hartington Cedar Catholic, Emerson-Hubbard and Randolph.
 
The Wayne State women’s basketball team has advanced to the NCAA Central Regional at Fort Lewis of Colorado.

Amber Baird, Katie Goetzinger combine on no-hitter for #22 Wayne State softball in 2-0 win over Millersville (Pa.), and SOUTHERN INDIANA RALLIES FOR 4-3 WIN OVER WAYNE STATE BASEBALL

Amber Baird and Katie Goetzinger combined on a no-hitter Monday afternoon to lead the 22nd-ranked Wayne State College softball team in a 2-0 win over Millersville (Pa.) at the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Florida.  Later in the day, the Wildcats topped Post University of Connecticut 8-2 to improve to 5-1 on their spring trip and 8-2 overall.

Wayne State College Rugby To Host Annual Tournament, March 27-28

Teams from 17 states and Canada will compete in women's and men's divisions in rugby football March 27-28 in Wayne. The 72-team tournament at the "House of Pain" will feature "no helmets, no pads and no mercy," according to tournament director and WSC Rugby coach Darrin Barner.

8th grade Boys Norfolk Panther Tournament

The Wayne 8th graders went 2-1 over the weekend at the Norfolk Panther Tournament, beating Norfolk 42-39, Columbus 44-33, and losing to Millard West, 47-40.  The 8th graders travel to Lincoln this weekend to participate in the MIT tournament and finish the season the following weekend at Kearney.
