Annual Wayne Kiwanis Pancake Feed to Benefit Local Boy Scouts

The annual Pancake Feed by the Kiwanis Club of Wayne will take place on Sunday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Wayne Armory. Adding to the traditional menu of all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage this year's Pancake Feed will expand pancake choices to include regular or chocolate chip pancakes, and applesauce will be available in addition to the traditional orange juice and coffee. Suggested donations will be $5 for adults, $3 for children age 12 and under, and age 2 and under will be free.

WAYNE STATE WOMEN WIN SIXTH STRAIGHT AFTER 75-46 ROUT OF AUGUSTANA, and 25TH-RANKED AUGUSTANA MEN RALLIES IN SECOND HALF FOR 70-54 WIN AT WAYNE STATE

The Wayne State College women’s basketball team remained red hot defeating Augustana 75-46. Sophomore Ashley Arlen (Cascade, Iowa) earned her seventh double-double of the season with 32 points and a career high 14 rebounds. The win makes the Wildcats 17-4 overall and 10-4 in the NSIC and the loss drops the Vikings to 16-5 overall and 10-4 in the NSIC.

WAYNE STATE INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS SET FOUR NEW SCHOOL RECORDS AT NEBRASKA , SOUTH DAKOTA MEETS

The Wayne State College indoor track and field teams competed at two separate meets this weekend as part of the team participated in the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln Friday night and Saturday while a majority of the team compete Saturday at the John Dalton Open at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion in the Dakota Dome. The Wildcats ended up with four new school records at the two meets with two national provisional qualifying marks.

WAYNE STATE BASEBALL RANKED 16TH IN PRESEASON DIVISION II BASEBALL WRITER’S POLL

The Wayne State College baseball team is ranked 16th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 Preseason poll released Thursday. WSC received 179 points in voting conducted by baseball writers from across the country. Wayne State was 45-15 last season and won a sixth straight Northern Sun Conference Baseball title and advanced to the NCAA Division II National Tournament for a sixth straight season where the Wildcats reached the Central Region title game before falling to Mesa State.
