(Wakefield) Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership (formerly Goldenrod Hills Community Action) will be providing immunizations and Lead (Pb) screenings for children from 9am to 3pm at Evangelical Covenant Church, at 805 Winter St, Wakefield. Elevated levels of Lead have been linked to health, learning and behavioral issues in children. These issues can become serious if not properly addressed. ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP
The Alzheimer’s Association’s Caregiver Support Groups provide support, encouragement and training for caregivers, helping them to maintain their own health and outlook even amid the declining health of a loved-one. The incidence of Alzheimer's will increase as America's population increases, and it is the only top-10 cause of death with no known means of cure or prevention. As Medicine discovers answers, the Alzheimer's Association will provide access to the latest care procedures and treatment options for those involved in the support groups.
