Illinois Man Killed In Wreck South Of Macy

MACY - A Springfield, Illinois man was killed yesterday morning in a head-on collision one mile south of Macy on Highway 75. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, a southbound car, driven by 72-year-old Robert Meiron crossed the center line and hit a northbound car around 10:30 am. The driver of the other vehicle, 35-year-old Gary Collins of Omaha, is currently hospitalized in stable condition. Both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
