WAYNE - Homecoming royalty was crowned for Wayne State College at the coronation ceremony Monday night, September 24 in the Ramsey Theatre.

Mecham is the daughter of Tiffany Mecham. She is a criminal justice and human service counseling major. She participates in Zeta Tau Omega sorority, Greek Council, Greeks Advocating Mature Management of Alcohol, Greek spiritual discussion, soccer club, Criminal Justice Association, peer educator and Alpha Lambda Delta academic honorary.
Burtwistle is the daughter of Jim and Jennifer Burtwistle of Ewing. She is a journalism major art and online media minor. She participates in vice president of media club, Circle K International, Alpha Lambda Delta, intramurals and leadership Wayne. She is a founding member of the Philomathean President's Honor Society, President of Cardinal Key Honor Society, Secretary of Lambda Pi Eta communications honorary and student vice president of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
Engelken is the daughter of Gene and Jana Engelken of Pawnee City. She is an applied human and sport physiology major with a minor in coaching. She participates in Cardinal Key, Pre-physical therapy club, cross country track, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fellowship of Christian Athletes leadership team, Wayne High School youth group as leader, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Journey Christian Church College Group.
Sieh is the daughter of Michael and Shellie Sieh of Stanton. She is a chemistry health science major with a minor in biology. She participates in Rural Health Opportunities Program, Cardinal Key, Phi Kappa Phi as co-president, Philomathean honor society, Health Science Club, ROTARACT Club as president and intramurals. She also serves as a science and math tutor.
Wendte is the daughter of Jody and Leanne Wendte of Crofton. She is a finance major. She participates in Student Activities Board, intramurals and Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity.
May is the daughter of Roger and Julie May of Papillion. She is an elementary education major with a minor in early childhood and English as a Second Language. She participates in Navigators, Campus Crusade for Christ, Northeast Nebraska Teacher Academy, Wildcat Wheels as dispatcher and Journey Christian Church as communications intern.
Fedde is the son of Beth and Ted Ginger and Will and DeAnn Fedde. He is an applied human sport physiology major. He participates in pre-physical therapy club, SHAPE (Students Helping Achieve Physical fitness and Exercise), bicycle club, Free Thinkers Club, Campus Navigators and orientation for new students on campus.
Heinen is the son of Glenn and DeAnna Heinen. He is an applied human sport physiology major with a minor in psychology. He participates in student senate, bicycle club, SHAPE, pre-physical therapy club, health sciences club and orientation. He is also an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
Wayne State College Homecoming Royalty includes: Anderson is the son of Brian and Kay Anderson. He is a mass communications broadcasting major with a minor in sports management. He is co-founder and president of Media Club. He has also participated in choir and play production.
Pokhrel is the son of Dipendra Kumar Pokhrel. He is a chemistry health science major. He is president of International Club, student worker at the multicultural center on campus and volunteers at the Oaks.
Vander Weil is the son of Greg and Zoe Vander Weil of Wayne. He is a Social Science Education major with a minor in English as a Second Language and Coaching. He participates in student senate, Free Thinkers Club, bike club, media club, wrestling club, Explorers Club and orientation.
Whitt is the son of Ron and Deb Whitt of Wayne. He is a communication major with a theatre minor. He participates in student senate and has served as president, intramural sports, Lambda Pi Eta as president, bike club and chess club.
Wayne State College will celebrate Homecoming weekend on campus, Sept. 27-30 with the theme, "Something Old. Something New.''
