LINCOLN (AP) – Gov. Dave Heineman is meeting with a delegation from Nebraska’s “sister state” in China to talk about trade and educational partnerships.
Heineman’s office announced Wednesday that representatives from the Shaanxi Province visited the governor at the Nebraska Capitol. Heineman has worked to build the state’s relationship with China, and visited the province during a trade mission in July. The governor signed a “sister state” agreement between the two states, and has sought to attract Chinese investment in Nebraska. Nebraska Economic Development Director Catherine Lang is hosting the China group, which includes government and business officials.
