City Of Wayne Van Driver Earns Second At Competition

WAYNE - Fred Krenk, one of three van drivers with the City of Wayne Transit program represented Wayne at the 2012 Nebraska Association of Transportation Providers Statewide Roadeo on September 19th in Kearney, at the Nebraska Safety Center Driving Range. Krenk’s total score from four testing sections earned him a second place finish out of nine drivers in the van division. The competition includes training and time skills and procedures on proper methods of van pre-trip inspection, wheelchair securement and a written test over technical passenger assistance and the Nebraska Drivers Manual. Because of his second place finish, Krenk will compete in the national roadeo competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico June 2-7.
