Heineman Looking For State Health Savings Option

LINCOLN (AP) – Governor Dave Heineman is seeking a high-deductible health savings option for the state’s health insurance. Heineman notified the federal government yesterday of an option he says will allow Nebraska residents a more affordable choice. Each state is to select a benefit package starting in 2014 that will be a benchmark for all health insurance plans sold in the state.
