USPS Considering Reduced Hours For Local Post Offices
Posted: 08 October, 2012
OMAHA - Postal officials say some Northeast Nebraska post offices could be looking at reduced hours instead of closing, as the US Postal Service continues to look at ways to save money.
The USPS will be holding several town hall meetings in the upcoming weeks to discuss options for many of the post offices that have been listed for closure due to cost-cutting measures. Officials say those who attend the meetings will get a chance to voice their opinions and fill out surveys on what they think are the best options for their local post office. Upcoming meetings include October 9th in Hoskins at 1:00 pm at the post office, October 23rd in Concord at 1:00 pm at the fire hall and October 23rd in Pilger at 4:00 pm at the fire department.
