Area XC Teams Compete At Bloomfield Invite

BLOOMFIELD (KTCH/KCTY) - The Wayne High boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed at the Bloomfield Invitation on Friday. The girls’ team finished in fourth place overall, and was paced by top finisher Cassie Heier who came in third. Also placing in the top 20 for the Blue Devils was Angie Nelson, finishing 13th. Winside’s MacKenzie Grey was the girls’ runner-up, while Sadie Petersen and Sammie Camenzind finished 14th and 19th respectively for Laurel-Concord/Coleridge. Winside finished ninth as a team. For the boys, Wayne was fifth overall, while LCC came in ninth. Aaron Haahr finished fifth to lead LCC. Ben Hoskins paced the Wayne boys with an eighth-place finish, and Jacob Reynolds came in 20th.
