Wayne Bowling Alley To Reopen Under New Ownership

Posted: 09 October, 2012

WAYNE - Area bowlers have been anxiously waiting for news about the future of the bowling alley in Wayne, after they learned that the Baker family had no plans on opening the business back up this fall. The Bakers were in the process of buying the business before they turned it back over to the former owner, Adeline Kienast. Former Wayne resident Ric Barner purchased the business late this summer from Kienast and has been busy repairing machines, refinishing lanes and cleaning to re-open the business. Several area bowlers have also been helping Barner with cleanup over the past few months. Plans are to open the business as Wildcat Lanes on October 29th. An all bowlers meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30 pm at Wildcat Lanes. Leagues are in the process of being organized now. If you are interested in bowling on a league or forming a team, please attend the meeting on October 17. If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like more information please call: Diane Roeber 402-369-0349 or Cec Vandersnick 402-375-0459.
