Yankton Superintendent Issues Apology After Drunk Driving

ANKTON - Yankton School Superintendent Joe Gertsema is publicly apologizing after being arrested over the weekend for drunken driving.
YGertsema was arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday at a Highway Patrol checkpoint near Vermillion. Authorities say he failed a sobriety test. Gertsema has been Yankton’s school superintendent for 23 years.
