Public Forum Held Tuesday At Hoskins Post Office

Posted: 11 October, 2012

HOSKINS - The U-S Postal Service hosted an open forum in Hoskins Tuesday, regarding possible closure or hour cuts.
The Hoskins Post Office is one of about 13,000 nationwide slated for closure due to cost-cutting measures. But public outcry forced the USPS to look at other options, including reduced hours. Postal officials say a recent survey of Hoskins residents overwhelmingly favored reducing the post office to four hours a day as opposed to closure. There are more forums scheduled this month at other towns looking at reduced hours, including Pilger and Concord. Postal Officials say the new reduced hours will be implemented December First.
