WSC Soccer's Courtney True Named NSIC Defensive PLayofer Of The Week

WAYNE - Courtney True of Wayne State College was selected Monday afternoon as the Northern Sun Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week announced by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota following her play over the weekend in two Wildcat wins. True, a 5-6 freshman goalkeeper from Yankton, South Dakota (Yankton HS), notched a pair of shutouts in goal while leading WSC to a pair of 2-0 wins at Sioux Falls Friday evening and at home Sunday vs. Southwest Minnesota State. True recorded six saves in Friday’s win over the Cougars and added 10 saves while posting another shutout win Sunday against the Mustangs. For the season, True leads the NSIC with 124 total saves, ranks third in the league with 6.89 saves per game and is tied for eighth in the NSIC in shutouts with three.
