UNDATED (KTCH/KCTY) - Yesterday marked the quarterfinal round of the 2012 state high school football playoffs. In area games Norfolk Catholic downed Fort Calhoun 51-8, Pierce beat Wahoo 35-7 and Boone Central/Newman Grove bested Gothenburg 38-20 in Class C1. In C2 action, it was Lutheran High Northeast over Ponca 42-14, while in D2 Falls City Sacred Heart beat Lindsay Holy Family 35-18, and Humphrey St. Francis downed Sterling 50-8. The next round of the playoffs will be Monday for Class D1 and D2, and Tuesday for C1 and C2.
