WSC Volleyball 7th In Regional Rankings

WAYNE - Wayne State College moved up one spot to seventh in the latest NCAA Division II Central Region Volleyball Rankings released Wednesday afternoon by the NCAA office in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Central Region includes teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, Great American Conference and Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
Wayne State is ranked seventh in the region with a record of 20-8 overall and an 18-8 mark against teams within the region. The top three teams in the region are the same as last week with Concordia-St. Paul first followed by Central Missouri and Southwest Minnesota State. Minnesota Duluth moves up one spot to fourth with Washburn falling one notch to fifth. Truman remains sixth with WSC moving up to seventh and Nebraska-Kearney slipping one spot to eighth. Augustana inches up one spot to 10th while Winona State replaces Minnesota State in this week’s rankings and comes in at 10th. The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA Central Region Tournament November 29-December 1.
