WSC Rugby Women Face Wheaton State In National Semis

WAYNE - The Wayne State women’s rugby team will be heading to the Rugby National Semi-Finals/National Championship this Saturday and Sunday. WSC will play in the national semi-final on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 11:15 a.m. in Cherry Hill, N.J.
WSC will face Wheaton State of Massachusetts. The WIldcat rugby women have a record of 15-1 heading into this national semi-final game. The team's 15-game win streak after a loss to the Kansas University included victories over Oklahoma, Kansas State, Northwestern and Notre Dame. With a win, WSC will play in the national championship game on Sunday Nov. 18 at noon. WSC rugby women have been to the Elite 8 national quarter finals four times, but have never advanced to the Final Four of the national semi-finals until this year.
