Corps Of Engineers To Proceed With Reduced Flow Plan

Posted: 14 November, 2012

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Officials say the Army Corps of Engineers officials will proceed with its plan to reduce flow from an upper Missouri River reservoir despite concerns it will worsen low-water problems on the Mississippi River. Corps spokeswoman Monique Farmer said that the agency will continue dredging and rock-removal efforts to keep the Mississippi open as long as possible but must act in the best interests of the Missouri River basin.
