WSC Rugby Women Have a Chance to Play for a National Championship

WAYNE - The Wayne State women’s rugby team will be heading to the Rugby National Semi-Finals/National Championship this Saturday and Sunday. WSC will play in the national semi-final on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 11:15 a.m. in Cherry Hill, N.J. WSC will face Wheaton State of Massachusetts. The Wildcat rugby women have a record of 15-1 heading into this national semi-final
game. The team's 15-game win streak after a loss to the Kansas University
included victories over Oklahoma
, Kansas State
, Northwestern and Notre Dame. With a win, WSC will play in the national championship game on Sunday Nov. 18 at noon. WSC rugby women have been to the Elite 8 national quarter finals four times, but have never advanced to the Final Four of the national semi-finals until this year.
BIG RED COUNTRY 104.9 will carry the semi-final game on Saturday against Wheaton State of Massachusetts starting at approximately 11:15 a.m. BIG RED COUNTRY 104.9 will also be carrying the National Championship game on Sunday at noon if the Wildcat Women win on Saturday.
