STANTON - A 28-year-old Madison man accused of a shooting in downtown Norfolk has been arrested. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says Jordan Beehn was arrested early Saturday morning after leading law enforcement officials on a chase on Highway 24 east of Stanton.
Beehn lost control and crashed into a ditch where he and his wife, 25-year-old Kelly Beehn were arrested. Beehn was found in possession of a handgun and ammunition at the time of his arrest. According to Norfolk Police Captain Michael Bauer, officers responded to a shooting at The Hollywood Club bar in downtown Norfolk at around 12:59 Saturday morning. According to Bauer’s report, the Beehn’s were leaving the bar when Kelly Beehn got into a fight with another woman leaving the bar. Bauer says Jordan Beehn then hit the unnamed male victim, who was attempting to break up the fight, with his gun. When the victim turned around, Bauer says Beehn shot the unnamed victim in the mouth area. The victim was then life-flighted to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Jordan Beehn faces charges of First Degree Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, and Second Degree Assault. He is currently being held in the Madison County Jail.
