USPS Delivering Post Office Hours Notices In Person

Posted: 28 November, 2012

UNDATED (KTCH/KCTY) - Over the past few months, the United States Postal Service has been meeting with small towns across the state of Nebraska, delivering both good and bad news. The good news is that many small town post offices won’t be closing due to massive budget cuts. But the bad news is that hours will be reduced. USPS officials were in Homer and Jackson yesterday, presenting the results of surveys given to residents about how their post offices should run moving forward. The reduced hours will result in considerable budget savings for the USPS over the next two years. The next Post Office meeting is at the Oakdale Community Center today at 1:00.
