UNDATED – The academics of three northeast Nebraska high schools have recently brought them recognition. Last week, Creighton Community Schools learned the results of last spring’s NeSA testing.
For the first time, public school districts were ranked on how they did and Creighton ended up first in math and reading. NeSA is a standardized test given across the state of Nebraska, evaluating students’ knowledge in reading, math, science and writing. Elgin Public Schools and Bloomfield Community Schools have been named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. The award honors schools where students rank among the highest-performing in the state. Only 6 districts out of 249 in the state receive the honor.
