Wayne High One-Act Team Claims B3 District Title

WAYNE - The Wayne High School one-act team claimed the Class B, District 3 title unanimously with its performance of "The Attempted Murder of Peggy Sweetwater" at the one-act contest held Friday, November 30 at Wayne State's Ramsey Theatre.  Pierce High School received Runner-up.  Students recognized as outstanding performers for Wayne included Kendra Liska, Emma Osnes, Jack Tyson, Parker Wren, Marissa Wiese, Casey Dalager, Olivia Ficke-Anderson, Aspen Pflanz, and Jason Holt.  The students are directed by Heidi Thompson and assisted by Terri Hypse.  The Wayne students will compete in the Class B Play Production Contest in Kearney's Merryman Performing Arts Center at 10:45 A.M. on Friday, December 7, 2012.  A pep rally send-off for the state-qualifying Mock Trial and One-Act Teams will be held on Monday, December 3, at 3:20 in the high school gym.
