Blue Devil Girls And Boys Win Against Logan View

WAYNE (KTCH/KCTY) - The Wayne High boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were in action last night, hosting Logan View in a varsity doubleheader. Things got off to a quick start in the girls’ game for the Lady Blue Devils, as they would race to a 31-11 halftime lead. The scoring continued for Wayne, as they would eventually improved to 2-1 on the season, winning 69-33 over the Raiders. Leading the way for Wayne was Rachel Rauner with 18 points, followed by Jalyn Zeiss with 12. It was a similar story in the boys’ game, as the Blue Devils found themselves up 35-20 at the half. Wayne would also allow just seven points to Logan View in the third quarter, helping them pull away. The final score favored the Blue Devils 61-45. Grant Anderson and Ben Hoskins paced the offensive attack for Wayne with 18 and 17 points, respectively. With the win, the Blue Devil boys are now 2-0 on the year.
