Steven Jay Morse was born May 31, 1962, at Idaho Falls, ID to Ralph Jr.(Jay) and Marilyn (Koenig) Morse. He attended school in Winside, graduating from Winside High School in 1981. He attended Metro Community College in Omaha and later Southeast Community College in Lincoln, before beginning his career in nursing. He was a LPN with various nursing homes in the Lincoln and was a care provider
Steven loved music, singing and playing the piano. While in high school, he participated in various music competitions including all state music contest, earning many awards over the years. Steven has been in ill health for many of the past years.
Steven is survived by his mother, Marilyn Morse of Winside; a sister, Wendy (Kevin) Light of Omaha; a brother, Brian (Rebecca) Morse of Merna; two nieces, Jadyn Light and Grace Morse; two nephews, Brandon Light and Adam Morse; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Ralph in 2005.
Steven’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in St. Mary’s Holy Family Hall following the committal service.
