Wayne High Girls And Boys Win At O'Neill

O’NEILL (KTCH/KCTY) - The Wayne High girls’ and boys’ basketball teams were on the road Saturday for a varsity doubleheader with O’Neill. In the girls’ game, the Lady Blue Devils were decisively victorious, 55-35. Victoria Kranz led Wayne in scoring with 15 points, followed by Sarah Maxson with 13 and Meagan Backer with 11. With the win, the Wayne girls are now 5-2 on the season. The Wayne boys were able to extend their overall record to 6-0 on the year, claiming a 55-51 win over the Eagles. The Wayne teams are in action again tomorrow night, traveling to Columbus Scotus.
