Wildcat Women Fall To 19th In Nation

WAYNE - The Wayne State College women’s basketball team fell seven spots in the newest USA Today Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll released Tuesday afternoon after WSC dropped from 12th to 19th.The Wildcats received a total of 190 points in voting conducted by various Division II head coaches from across the country as Wayne State went 1-1 last weekend beating Upper Iowa on Friday evening before losing to Winona State on Saturday.
Wayne State is off until New Year’s Eve when the Wildcats will host Chadron State College with tipoff set for 4:00 p.m. WSC then gets back to the conference schedule with home NSIC contests against Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State on January 4th and 5th.
