Posted: 19 December, 2012

VALLEY (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Northeast Nebraska from 3:00 pm today until 6:00 am Thursday. Snow will spread into the area this afternoon, and become occasionally moderate to heavy from late afternoon into the evening. Three to five inches of accumulation is expected with northeast winds 15 to 25 mph this afternoon and north winds of 25 to 30 mph tonight with gusts up to 40 mph. The combination of snow and strong winds will create areas of blowing and driving snow along with poor visibilities. Brief white-out conditions are possible in some locations.
