WAYNE (KTCH/KCTY) - The Wayne High girls’ basketball hosted Pierce last night. The Blue Devils looked to have things in hand, leading 29-25 heading into the fourth quarter, but Wayne would go on a cold streak, allowing the Bluejays to come back for the win, 38-32. Jalyn Zeiss led the Blue Devils in scoring with 10 points. With the loss, the Wayne girls are now 7-5 on the year. Both the Wayne girls and boys will be in action tonight, hosting Boone Central/Newman Grove. The girls varsity contest is slated for 6:15 with the boys following at around 7:45.
