Blue Devil Bowling Teams Qualify For State

WAYNE (KTCH/KCTY) - The Wayne High girls’ and boys’ bowling teams held Districts at Wildcats Lanes in Wayne on Sat, January 26. Teams competing were Wayne High, Hartington and Wisner-Pilger.
In the girls' division, Wayne was the winner with a total of 2,648 pins. Wisner-Pilger was the runner-up at 2,351 and Hartington was third with 2,230. For the boys, Wayne was the winner with 2,840 total pins, followed by Wisner-Pilger with 2,685 and Hartington with 2,564. Wayne and Wisner-Pilger each qualify for the state tournament in Lincoln February 9-10 in both the girls’ and boys’ divisions. The top four individual bowlers in the district completion were, for the girls, Miranda Denklau – Wayne; Nicole Craft – Wayne; Kassadee Keilbach – Wisner-Pilger and Allison Ferguson – Wisner-Pilger. For the boys, Dillon Wieland – Wayne; Patrick Richards – Wisner-Pilger; Derek Klug – Hartington and Tyler Echtenkamp – Wayne.
