Eight Indicted In Sioux City And South Sioux City Robberies

SIOUX CITY - Eight people have been indicted in federal court in connection with armed robberies in Sioux City and South Sioux City last summer.
An indictment unsealed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Sioux City charges 24-year-old David Johnson, 19-year-old Christopher Bailey, and 21-year-old Joshua Fields, all of Sioux City, with two counts each of conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime and one count each of possession of a short-barreled rifle, possession of a short-barreled shotgun and robbery in connection with armed robberies at Seoul Foods in South Sioux City, on June 19 and Sarg's Mini Mart in Sioux City on July 13. Also charged in connection with the Seoul Foods robbery are 18-year-old Rudy Johnson, and 20-year-old Terrence Miles, both of Sioux City, 20-year-old Paige Mathison of Sioux City, and 19-year-old Austin Peters, also known as Austin Stadler of Nemaha, Iowa.An eighth person, 24-year-old Dustin Mathison, of Sioux City, was charged in an August indictment with possession of a short-barreled rifle, and has pleaded guilty to loaning a sawed-off rifle to David Johnson to use in the Sarg's Mini Mart robbery.
