Make sure to register your dogs and cats if you live in the City of Wayne during the month of May. Registration fees during this period will be $6.00 per dog or cat and licenses can be obtained at the Wayne Police Department. More information can be found under the Community Events tab.

WAYNE (KTCH/KCTY) – In community events today, starting today and running through Thursday, there will be Lipid/Glucose Screenings at Providence Medical Center from 6:30-9:00 a.m. Providence Medical Center Laboratory staff is once again offering to the public cholesterol screening. The cost is $13.00 per person.  Tests include total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and glucose.  It is recommended that you fast for twelve hours and not consume alcohol for 48 hours. Wayne Area Economic Development is holding an organizational meeting at 8:00 this morning. Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership will be providing immunizations and lead screenings for children from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at United Methodist Church, located at 516 N Main St. in Wayne. The City Council will hold its regular meeting tonight at 5:30. Wayne High School will be honoring the Girls’ basketball team and their parents during Parents’ Night this evening.  Parents should be at the Wayne high school gym by 6:30 p.m. They will be introduced between the JV and Varsity basketball games.  Wayne will be hosting Hartington CC.
