Make sure to register your dogs and cats if you live in the City of Wayne during the month of May. Registration fees during this period will be $6.00 per dog or cat and licenses can be obtained at the Wayne Police Department. More information can be found under the Community Events tab.

UNDATED (KTCH/KCTY) - In community events today, TenderHeart Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is hosting a Sub Dinner at the former Snakey Jakes/Mama Marie's from 4:30 to 8:00pm at 118 East 2nd St. in Wayne. Proceeds help rescued animals find a good home. To-go meals available. The Wayne City Council is holding its regular meeting at 5:30 this evening. Dr. Paul Chleborad of Norfolk Psychological Services, a PTSD specialist, will address the Military Family Support Group, presenting ways to recognize and effectively treat PTSD. This month’s meeting will be hosted by the Red Cross from 7:00-8:00 this evening at 2612 W. Norfolk Avenue. Reservations are recommended. Please call (402) 371-0393.
