Cause Of Laurel Fire Remains Unknown

LAUREL - According to State Fire Marshal Deputy Jeff Going, the cause of a fire that destroyed two buildings and damaged another in Laurel last week will not be known. Going said that there was too much damage to the buildings to determine an exact cause. The fire started at around 5:00 last Thursday morning, and it is believed the fire started on the second floor of the Laurel BioComposites building, before spreading to the other buildings. The BioComposites building as well as the Thrivent Financial Services building both had to be torn down.
