Funeral services for Lucille “Lucy” Schnoor age 88 of Wayne formerly of Carroll will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church in Carroll on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with family present. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk She passed away Saturday at Careage Of Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Lucille Barbara Schnoor was born June 13, 1924, on a farm in Pierce County to John and Lois (Gardner) Kahny. She was baptized July 6, 1924, and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. She attended rural school and Pierce High School. Lucille married Vernon Schnoor February 18, 1944, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. The couple farmed in Wayne County and later ranched near Elgin. In 1965, they moved to Carroll and owned and operated the V & L Bar until 1972. Lucille was later employed at Wayne State College and for several years part-time at the grocery store in Carroll. Lucille was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Carroll, American Legion Auxiliary, and Carroll Senior Citizens.
Lucille is survived by three grandchildren, Scott Schnoor, Chad Schnoor, and Jodi Cooper; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Darrell (Nancy) Kahny of Osmond; a sister, Carol (LeRoy) Topp of Pilger; a daughter-in-law, Julie (Jim) Shore of Worthington, MN; nieces and nephews.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernie in 1993, son, Gerald in 1996, a grandson, Alan in 1998, and one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Mick Sherman.
