Judgeship Nominations Sent To Heineman For 5th District

LINCOLN (AP) - The names of two people have been sent to the governor for his consideration in filling a judgeship in eastern Nebraska.
The 5th Judicial District's nominating commission selected C. Jo Petersen, of Wahoo, and James Stecker, of Columbus, as nominees. The 5th Judicial District consists of Boone, Butler, Colfax, Hamilton, Merrick, Nance, Platte, Polk, Saunders, Seward and York counties. Gov. Dave Heineman will be interviewing Petersen and Stecker with an eye toward replacing Judge Gerald Rouse, who worked in Seward County before retiring.
