LINCOLN (AP) - Lindsey Moore became the third first-round pick in Nebraska history, when she was selected with the twelfth overall pick by the Minnesota Lynx in the 2013 WNBA Draft last night.
Moore, a 5’9 point guard from Washington, joined eleven other top collegians at last night’s draft live at ESPN headquarters in Connecticut. She joins former Husker WNBA first-rounders Kelsey Griffin and Nicole Kubik. Moore led Nebraska to the 2012 NCAA Sweet 16, closing her career as the Huskers' all-time assist leader. She started and won more games than any other player in Nebraska history during her four-year career, while becoming the only Husker starter to play in a pair of NCAA Sweet 16s in her career. Baylor’s Brittney Griner was the first pick to the Phoenix Mercury.
