Wayne State Hosts Fourth Annual Undergraduate Communication Conference

WAYNE - Wayne State College hosted the 4th Annual Nebraska Undergraduate Communication Conference, April 15. Keynote speaker was Dr. Sandra Metts, Professor of the School of Communication at Illinois State University, (right). Organizer of the conference was Dr. Deborah Whitt of Wayne State College.
Students from seven Universities including WSC presented communication research papers and projects throughout the day in the Student Center. Metts (Ph.D., University of Iowa) is a professor in the School of Communication at Illinois State University where she teaches courses in communication theory, communication and aging, emotion theory, and interpersonal communication. She has received several teaching awards including the ISU College of Arts and Sciences and University Outstanding Teaching Awards as well as the Central States Communication Association and International Association for Relationship Research teaching awards. She is a prolific scholar with more than 70 articles and book chapters.
