PIERCE - The Pierce County Court had sentencing and preliminary hearings yesterday. Nicholas Kuether, age 32 of Pierce was sentenced to two to three years in the Nebraska Department of Corrections on the offense of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Kuether was charged with selling methamphetamine near the city of Pierce and was arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol who conducted the investigation.
Taven LaCroix, age 40 of Pierce, appeared on a charge of driving after a 15-year license revocation, to which he plead guilty. His sentencing is scheduled for June 27. LaCroix was arrested by the Pierce Police Department after he was seen driving a motor vehicle.
19-year-old Brandon Bartusch of Wausa appeared on theft charges and driving under suspension. He was sentenced to 24 months of probation. Part of his probation is to served 180 days in jail with 60 days to commence immediately. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office investigated the theft.
