"Hurricane" Hunter Vance Buck, 23, of Bastrop, Texas passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 in a traffic accident
near Henderson, Texas. He was born Jan. 22, 1990, in Amarillo, Texas, to Mandy and Gehrig Buck. Hunter graduated from Bastrop High School in 2008 and went on to attend Wayne State College in Nebraska, and SFA University in Nacogdoches, where he was president of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Hunter loved sports, food, fishing, music, and most of all his family and friends. He had a warm personality and was always known to be the life of the party. Survivors include his parents, Mandy and Gehrig Buck; brother USMC SSG Alan Buck; sister-in-law, Kelli Buck; nieces, Alexis and Lauren; grandmother, Virginia Buck; and the thousands of lives he touched. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Resthaven Chapel in Lubbock, Texas. Hunter will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 10. There will be a live webcast of the service for those who are unable to attend at www.webcast.dignitymemorial.com. A candlelight memorial is also being held at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at Erhard Field in Bastrop, Texas.
