Funeral services for Glen Frevert age 84 of Winside will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winside  

on Friday August 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Winside on Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with family present. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. He passed away Monday at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne.

     Glenville Duane “Glen” Frevert, was born July 17, 1929, at Wayne to Ernest and Anna (Brummond) Frevert.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church rural Wakefield.  Glen graduated from Wayne Public School in 1947 and tech school in Omaha.  Glen married Bonnie Nelson, December 11, 1949, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church rural Wakefield.  They lived in the Wayne County area all of their married life.  Glen was employed at Wayne Lumber Company, twenty years in T.V. repair and sales, and at Dale Electronics in Norfolk for twenty-four years, retiring in 1990.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Glen loved sports, coaching and umpiring baseball for many years. In his early years he enjoyed bowling league and fishing. Glen liked to read, watch T.V. (his second love) having the remote always in his hand, and all Nebraska Husker Football and Baseball was watched in the Frevert Household.  He was a big New York Yankee Fan.
     Glen is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children, Patricia (Mike) Miller of Winside, Kevin (Tammi) Frevert of Norfolk, Tyler (Sue) Frevert of Wayne, and Pam Zegers of Norfolk; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Merlin (Kathleen) Frevert of Wayne; sister, Ruth Korth of Wayne; brothers-in-law, Merle (Billie Jo) Nelson of Augusta, KS and Al (Janelle) Nelson of Wakefield; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    Glen was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Mary Amanda Frevert.
    Glen’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the church fellowship hall.
