High School Football Begins

UNDATED (KTCH/KCTY) - The high school football season officially got underway last night with several matchups throughout the state. In the area, Norfolk Catholic opened the year with a 31-27 victory over Columbus Lakeview.

The Wayne High football team opens its 2013 campaign tonight at home against Madison at 7:00. That game will be broadcast on 1590 KTCH. Wakefield also opens the season at home, hosting Tekamah-Herman at 7:00. That game can be heard on Big Red Country 104.9.

Other area games include Mead @ Bancroft-Rosalie, Ponca @ Battle Creek, Humphrey @ Hartington, North Bend Central @ Homer, North Platte @ Norfolk, David City @ Pierce, South Sioux City @ Platteview, Randolph @ Elgin/Elgin Pope John and Winside @ Scribner-Snyder.
