WAKEFIELD (KTCH/KCTY) – The Tigers of Tekamah-Herman were able to exact some revenge on the Wakefield Trojans in football action from last season on Friday night.
Tekamah-Herman scored early and often on their way to a 45-14 win over the Trojans. Wakefield’s scores came in the first quarter when Levi Nelson plunged in for a three-yard touchdown run. The final Trojan touchdown came on the first play of the fourth quarter when Evan Nicholson intercepted a pass and ran over 70 yards for the touchdown. The two-point conversion following the pick-six was good, marking Wakefield’s 14 points. Wakefield has a bye week next Friday, and will travel to Stanton on September 13.
