Blue Devil Softball Downs LHNE

NORFOLK (KTCH/KCTY) - The Wayne High Softball was all business as they traveled to Norfolk for a matchup with Lutheran High Northeast last night.
The Blue Devils scored early and often on their way to a dominating 15-1 victory. The game was ended early after Wayne scored six runs in consecutive innings and eventually forced the 12-run mercy rule. Danica Schaefer swung the big bat once again for the Blue Devils, recording two hits with a two-run homerun. Also with two hits were Nicole Craft, Jalyn Zeiss and Kiara Hochstein. Kendall Gamble was the winning pitcher throwing the first two innings, while Ashten Gibson threw the final inning. With the win, the Blue Devils are now 5-3 on the year.
