Make sure to register your dogs and cats if you live in the City of Wayne during the month of May. Registration fees during this period will be $6.00 per dog or cat and licenses can be obtained at the Wayne Police Department. More information can be found under the Community Events tab.

The American Red Cross and the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department are partnering together to bring a Lunch N Learn workshop to Wayne area businesses in order to improve upon their Emergency Preparedness Planning. The workshop will be held from 11:30 – 1pm at the Wayne Fire Hall. For more information or to register for the event, please contact the American Red Cross at (402) 375-5209 or the Public Health Department at 402-375-2200.

Also, disaster Preparedness for Seniors will be presented from 2-3pm at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne. The program will include information on the three steps to preparedness, items to include in a disaster supplies kit and guidelines for creating a preparedness plan. The Wayne Farmer’s Market will be open from 4:00-7:00 on the east lawn of the Wayne County Courthouse.
