Blue Devil Girls Claim Third At State XC Meet

KEARNEY (KTCH/KCTY) – The Wayne High girls’ cross country team competed at the Class C state meet held at the Kearney Country Club earlier today. As a team, the Blue Devils finished in third place overall, behind only Columbus Scotus and Norfolk Catholic. Individually for Wayne, Marta Pulfer earned a silver medal finishing second overall, while Cassie Heier also finished in the top ten, placing eighth. Also for Wayne, Molly Burbach was 23rd, Amanda Stabler was 60th, Marissa Munsell was 70th and Angie Nelson was 75th.

Ben Hoskins was the lone competitor for the Wayne High boys, finishing 63rd overall.
