Wayne State Theater Presents 'The Pillowman' Starting Thursday

Posted: 16 November, 2013

WAYNE--The Wayne State College Theater Department will begin its performances of "The Pillowman" in the Black Box Theater next week.

"The Pillowman" features Police Detective Topulski and his police crony, Ariel, who heavily interrogate Katurian in an attempt to pin a rash of recent child murders on him simply because he wrote short stories with similar gruesome child murders. The police also bring in Katurian's mentally disabled brother for questioning.

These actions thrust Katurian, his brother and the police down a rabbit hole of memories and fantasies with some truly disastrous and disturbing consequences.

Performances for "The Pillowman," directed by Dr. Gwen Jensen, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21; Friday, Nov. 22; Saturday, Nov. 23; and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 7:00 p.m. A 2:00 p.m. performance will also be given on Sunday.
The Black Box Theater is located in the Peterson Fine Arts Building on WSC's campus.
