WSC Women's Basketball Cracks The Top 25

WAYNE - The Wayne State College women’s basketball team is ranked 22nd in this week’s USA Today Sports Division II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll released Tuesday afternoon by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. It’s the first time this season the 8-0 Wildcats have been ranked in the Top 25.
           
Wayne State went 4-0 last week, beating #11 Augustana 70-65 Monday evening followed by wins over Lees-McRae (NC) 98-67, Dominican (Calif.) 84-44 and host Alaska 82-64 at the North Star Invitational in Fairbanks, Alaska over Thanksgiving weekend.  The Wildcats return to Northern Sun Conference play this weekend, visiting Sioux Falls Friday evening at 6 p.m. and Southwest Minnesota State Saturday at 5 p.m.
