WSC Women's Track Back In National Rankings

WAYNE - Following a one week absence, the Wayne State College women’s indoor track and field team is back in the USTFCCCA (U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) NCAA Division II National Team Computer rankings released Tuesday afternoon, re-entering the rankings at 24th.
Wayne State received 35.15 points in the national rankings that awards points based on performers who have achieved NCAA provisional or automatic qualifying marks during the season.
Individually, senior thrower Carly Fehringer ranks fourth in the weight throw (63’ 8 ¾”) and eighth in the shot put (48’ 7 ½”) junior Sara Wells is seventh in the shot put (48’ 10”) with senior Emily Wells tied for 16th nationally in the weight throw (57’ 3 ½”).
The Wildcats will be competing Friday at the South Dakota Invite at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion with field events beginning at 4:30 p.m.
