Wildcat Women Back Up To #9 In Nation

WAYNE - The Wayne State College women’s basketball team moved up two spots to ninth in the latest USA Today Sports/WBCA Division II Top 25 Coaches’ Poll released Tuesday afternoon by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. The 26-3 Wildcats received 499 points in voting conducted by various Division II head coaches from across the country.
           
Wayne State clinched a third NSIC regular season title in the last four seasons over the weekend with road wins at Winona State (83-49) and Upper Iowa (78-56).  The Wildcats host Bemidji State Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the first round of the NSIC Sanford Health Women’s Basketball Tournament at Rice Auditorium in Wayne.
